Job Details

FirePoint Innovations is seeking an Office Manager to coordinate daily office operations and assist with department programs. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage and coordinate multiple entities in support of science and technology projects.

 

Job Summary

Manages the office activities in a large or complex unit which may include the reception area, business operations, and facilities and may involve multiple locations.

Essential Functions

Directs and coordinates office services and staff in the development and supervision of departmental programs. Resolves office problems independently and facilitates solutions. Oversees administrative support and coordination for meetings, conferences and events. May assist in the preparation of budgets, may make recommendations and projections. Provides ongoing monitoring and tracking of department budget.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Five (5) years of experience in general office, clerical, administrative support or related field. Every 30 hours of relevant college coursework is equivalent to one (1) year of experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent demonstrated ability for critical thinking
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work proactively
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or Administration

Experience with project management tools or Project Management (PMP)

Physical Requirements

Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.

Ability to remain in a stationary position.

Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
