Job Story
This position combines administrative support and public-facing project support responsibilities, requiring a detail-oriented individual who can balance behind-the-scenes administrative work with direct community engagement activities. You will provide the necessary support for community-focused initiatives while developing valuable skills in both office management and stakeholder relations.
Job Summary
The primary function of a graduate research assistant (GRA) is to assist faculty members in their scholarly and / or creative activities.
Job Duties
Administrative support: coordinate schedules and client meetings, prepare materials for facilitation activities, find and secure meeting locations, support process documentation, and provide general team support
Public-facing project support: take meeting notes, assist with community engagement events, conduct basic research for projects, support facilitation activities
Focused on finding solutions, the team works to create environments where collective learning builds strong, resilient communities and coalitions. This role is an excellent opportunity for students interested in developing skills in community engagement, client relationships, project coordination, and public administration.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience
To be eligible for an assistantship, students must be admitted to a degree program in either full or conditional standing. Students admitted on probation or placed on academic probation following admission may be eligible for assistantship awards under certain circumstances.
Additional Information for Posting
The maximum salary for this position is $6,200 for fall and spring semesters and $3,720 for summer semester. (Increased summer hours may be available upon request depending on workload and available budget.)
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
