In this position, you’ll oversee a few robust new systems in place which will be used to highlights students’ applied learning experiences, service learning, research, practicums, and more. Think of it as building a document that carries the significance of a transcript but goes beyond academics to reflect students' full potential. You’ll ensure the system is well-maintained, intuitive, and aligns with the university’s commitment to supporting student success.
As the go-to expert, you’ll take the lead in training other users on how to use the system effectively. Through webinars and campus-wide training sessions, you’ll teach what belongs in the system to create a meaningful and reputable document for students to take into their future careers.

Job Summary
Manages and administers the day-to-day operations of student database management and reporting for one (1) or more programs.
Essential Functions
Manages the daily, weekly, monthly and annual student database management and reporting for the program(s). Manages the process for analyzing program performance assessment results for student education plans. Manages the development of statistical reporting and tracking of student progress. Manages and assess the program(s) and department performance against established performance indicators. Meets routinely with students and families to develop and manage education plans, discuss graduation progress and goals. Assists with the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, projects and short and long range planning to accomplish goals. Manages, trains and leads staff and ensures resources are appropriately assigned to meet program goals.
Job Duties
Database Oversight and Reporting
• Collect, clean, and analyze data related to student career programming & engagement, applied learning and post-graduation outcomes, and employer partnerships.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations to present key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Shocker Career Accelerator (SCA).
• Generate reports for the University-wide Comprehensive Learner Record.
Technology Management
• Oversee the configuration and maintenance of the career systems platforms.
• Evaluate and implement new technology solutions to enhance student engagement and employer connections.
• Provide technical support for staff and students using career-related software and tools.
Strategy and Insights
• Identify trends in employment and career data to inform programming and services.
• Collaborate with leadership to set data-driven goals for the Shocker Career Accelerator and the University CLR.
• Provide actionable insights to improve employer outreach, applied learning, and student career readiness.
Operations and Support
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues in student databases.
• Partner with IT departments to ensure data security and compliance with institutional policies.
• Act as a liaison between the SCA and external technology vendors.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Three (3) years of experience in program management and database management or related field
Required License/Certifications/Training:
None
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Familiarity with higher education systems and processes, particularly student engagement and career readiness initiatives.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and reporting tools, including Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
• Understanding of data privacy standards and compliance regulations, such as FERPA and GDPR.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting data findings and providing technical training.
• High-level organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous improvement through feedback and self-development efforts.
