Job Story
Clinical Student Assistants for busy primary health clinic at WSU Student Health Services. Students will receive paid training and experience with various technical and administrative skills to function as a member of a healthcare team.

Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Job Duties
Clinical and administrative duties may include; phlebotomy, laboratory specimen management, patient care, assisting healthcare team providers and professional support staff, collecting payments, checking in patients for appointments, customer service tasks and answering phone calls.

Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.

Required Experience
This is specific to each position and department. See additional requirements and/or preferences.

Preferred Qualifications
Licensed or Certified nurses aide assistant or medical assistant
College of Health Professions major
College of Business/Marketing major
Graphic arts/Communications major
Basic Life Support CPR certification

Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
