Job Story
The Office of International Education is looking for highly motivated, friendly and detail-oriented individuals to fill the position of International Student Ambassador. Under the supervision of the Associate Direction of Marketing & Finance, this position is mainly responsible for assisting with prospective undergraduate international student outreach.
Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
• Reach out to prospective students to provide information about Wichita State to encourage them to apply to the university
• Reach out to applicants who have not completed their application to Wichita State to assist them to complete the application
• Assist with replying email and questions from prospective students and applicants
• Assist with marketing and recruitment events organized by the Office of International Education
• Assist with hosting campus visits of prospective students
• Provides excellent customer service to the students we interact with
• Perform data entry of prospective student information
• Perform other office duties as required and assigned
Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.
Additional Requirements
• Current Wichita State University undergraduate international student
• Ability to work 2-3 hours a day, 4 or 5 days a week (maximum 10-12 hours a week)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
Required Experience

Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
