Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
- Front desk support/customer service
- Some technology assistance for students/faculty
- Telephone/computer/copier operations
- Work with staff to maintain building security at end of shift/closing
- Communicate any evening and weekend issues to director as they arise
- Assist with assigned projects as they arise
- Be a dependable employee and team player
- Remote work is not available for this position
- Hours of availability are Mondays - Thursdays, 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM (or until the last class leaves, but no later than 10:00 PM), Fridays 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM, and occasional Friday evenings and Saturdays.
Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.
Additional Requirements
This undergraduate position is located at the WSU West Campus in Maize, Ks, which is located about 20 minutes from the main campus of Wichita State University.

Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
