Job Story

The connector. The first impression that sets the tone.
While everyone’s talking about AI, automation, and remote everything, we’re looking for something a little more rare in 2026:
A real human at the heart of our office—part air-traffic controller, part concierge, part team MVP.

The Kansas Small Business Development Center is tasked with providing assistance to small business leaders in a 12-county area, as well as providing unique applied learning opportunities for our students. This position will help coordinate all of the department's activities and functions.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic office environment, values professionalism and discretion, and enjoys collaborating across teams to make great work happen. Looking to grow your skills in office management, student services, client support, or event coordination as well.

In a time when organizations are re-centering on service, experience, and operational excellence, this role is the connective tissue that keeps everything functioning smoothly. If you enjoy being the steady force behind the scenes, balancing people, processes, and priorities with professionalism and care, this role offers real impact. You’re not just supporting the office, you’re shaping how students, clients, and partners experience it.
