Job Story
The Ennovar team is looking for a student assistant to work with Kansas Fiber Network as a Software Engineer.
Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
• Work on projects such as a Service Advisory Tool, MTTR Reporting Tool, and Service Configuration Tool.
• Research and develop custom software solutions for each project.
• Design user interfaces and APIs for web-based tools.
• Create end-user documentation and support materials.
• Use CI/CD pipelines and industry-standard development tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and present deliverables.
• Participate in the Agile process and iterative development cycles.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
• Engaged in completing a four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MIS.
• Experience with Python, React, or JavaScript (academic or professional).
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Exposure to full-stack development.
• Exposure to Circuit Vision ticket tracking software.
• Familiarity with automated reporting, dashboard creation, and API integration.
• Interest in telecom systems, service availability, and network configuration.
• Familiarity with circuit design layouts and router configuration.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment, including but not limited to phones, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
