Your day might include scanning documents, linking files in our imaging system, and performing quality assurance checks to maintain high data accuracy. You’ll also help organize both digital and physical files (perfect for anyone who loves order), prepare outgoing mail, and jump in on special projects throughout the year.

Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
• Scanning and Indexing
- Scan incoming and missing documents for integration into the image repository software.
• Document Linking
- Accurately link scanned or missing documents within image repository software.
• Quality Assurance
- Review scanned documents to confirm it is legible and correctly indexed.
- Flag discrepancies and coordinate with appropriate staff to resolve issues promptly.
• File Organization and Maintenance
- Ensure electronic and physical files are properly labeled, stored, and accessible for audit and review purposes.
• Mail Preparation
- Assist with preparation and distribution of outgoing correspondence, including letters and notifications.
• Support for Special Projects
- Provide assistance with seasonal or ad hoc projects as needed.
Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.
Additional Requirements
• Completed FAFSA form for academic year
• Good financial aid Satisfactory Academic Progress
• Financial need or Federal Work Study offer
• At least half-time enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student
- Undergraduate: 6+ credit hours per semester
- Graduate: 5+ credit hours per semester
