Job Summary
Manages assigned project(s) to meet department objectives.
Essential Functions
Develops project plans, creates schedules and ensures task deliverables meet expectations. Collaborates with project contributors to assess and ensure successful project outcomes. Defines and ensures resources are assigned to meet project goals. Monitors project and communicates quality and progress metrics to department and/or staff(s). Recommends project budget and monitors and adjusts plan as resource requirements change. Addresses and resolves project issues to ensure goals remain on track.
Required Education and Experience:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of project management principles, scheduling, and resource planning.
Knowledge of budgeting practices and project performance metrics.
Skill in coordinating teams and ensuring project deliverables meet expectations.
Skill in identifying issues, mitigating risks, and maintaining project timelines.
Skill in clear, professional communication with staff and stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing requirements.
Ability to interpret project specifications and apply departmental objectives.
Ability to meet U.S. export compliance requirements (EAR/ITAR).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to interpret effectively, accurately and impartially, both receptively and expressively. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information. Ability to remain in a stationary position.
