Job Story
The Center for Real Estate in collaboration with with Center for Economic Development and Business Research in the Barton School of Business is searching for a graduate research assistant to support the center's forecasting and real estate research initiatives. This graduate student would work closely with the CEDBR director and staff on the production of key publications used throughout the state of Kansas by real estate professionals and organizations.
Job Summary
The primary function of a graduate research assistant (GRA) is to assist faculty members in their scholarly and / or creative activities.
Job Duties
* Collect, clean, and analyze economic and real estate data
* Create effective and clear data visuals
* Communicate findings of research clearly to stakeholders
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree
Additional Requirements
This candidate should be able to demonstrate strength and proficiency in:
* Data cleaning and management
* Data visualization
* Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
The candidate must also:
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Work well in teams and cooperative research environments
Required Experience
To be eligible for an assistantship, students must be admitted to a degree program in either full or conditional standing. Students admitted on probation or placed on academic probation following admission may be eligible for assistantship awards under certain circumstances.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will also:
* Demonstrate strong interests in real estate and economics
* Has proficiency in statistical analysis
* Adept at statistical software, such as R, Python, and Stata
* Has experience using business intelligence platforms, such as PowerBI, Google Looker Studio, or Tableau

Physical Requirements
