Pay: Hourly range begins at $16.49 per hour and is commensurate with experience
Work Schedule: M-F, office hours/days depends on class schedule, could be flexible. Office hours are 8am-5pm depending on classes in building.

Job Story
WSU Old Town is accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant position who will provide administrative support to the Director, faculty, staff, and students to ensure effective daily operations at both locations. The successful candidate will enjoy the challenge of working with a variety of situations while displaying a high level or customer service. This position will be based at WSU Old Town but may be asked to report to WSU Haysville as needed. Mileage will be paid if you are required to go to both locations on the same day.
Job Summary
Performs office support duties of a clerical or secretarial nature. Duties may be comprised of general office duties along with some specialized duties.
Essential Functions
Answers, screens and routes phone calls, may include multi-line phone systems. Greets and directs guests. Prepares and distributes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications, as required. Schedules and supports preparation for meetings, conferences, courses, programs and/or special events. Establishes and maintains filing systems. May order and maintain sufficient inventory of office supplies and equipment.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six (6) months of experience in general office, clerical, administrative support or related field
Required License/Certifications/Training:
None
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and general office skills.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders.
- Ability to research, organize, prioritize, and provide professional customer service.
- Ability to exercise appropriate personal initiative and accountability with exceptional follow through, attention to detail, track and meet deadlines.
Additional Information:
This position will join the rotation with other staff to be onsite for evening classes, typically one or two nights per week.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
