Job Story
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Strengths, Leadership & Student Impact the Technology Program Graduate Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the technological and data-driven initiatives within the Student Engagement & Belonging. This position is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of key platforms such as ShockerSync, Anthology Baseline, and other essential systems that enhance student engagement, success, and organizational efficiency. The Graduate Assistant will collaborate with campus partners to develop an annual reporting schedule that effectively utilizes the various reporting and analytic systems withing the division of student affairs to track progress, assess performance against university benchmarks, and recommend strategic improvements.
Job Summary
A Graduate Staff Assistant (GSA) assistants' university service and academic units in either non-teaching or non-research activities. Specific duties of the GSA vary widely, depending on the administrative or academic unit to which they are assigned, but should be at a level to make use of their education and abilities.
Job Duties
· Creates new or troubleshoots and improves upon existing processes, procedures or systems to meet program and divisional goals.
· Develop metrics to measure program success against program and divisional goals.
· Administer, maintain, and routinely update ShockerSync, including system clean-up and user support.
· Support divisional assessment initiatives by collecting, analyzing, and reporting on key performance indicators.
· Provide leadership for strengths-based initiatives and contribute to campus-wide leadership programming, including facilitating training and workshops that incorporate strengths development and student success frameworks
· Contribute to the division’s strategic goals by leveraging technology and data to advance student success initiatives
· Other duties assigned by Leadership
Required Education
Bachelor's degree
Required Experience
To be eligible for an assistantship, students must be admitted to a degree program in either full or conditional standing. Students admitted on probation or placed on academic probation following admission may be eligible for assistantship awards under certain circumstances.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
