Conducts outreach campaigns, counsels with college(s), and advises diverse, "at-risk" student populations regarding their academic plans, progress, and academic and career goals in order to assist students in making personal education decisions and meeting graduation requirements. Provides risk assessments and interprets student needs for assigned areas. Provides individualized service and assistance while maintaining confidentiality while focusing on student success.

Essential Functions
Provides student support with life skills development, identification and elimination of retention barriers and academic programs. Facilitates connections with campus and community services and resources when needed. Provides support to assigned academic college(s) and faculty on program-specific strategic enrollment management and retention goals and initiatives. Identifies specific student populations, conducts outreach campaigns and supports campus-wide retention initiatives.
Job Duties

- Provides support to assigned academic college(s) and faculty on program-specific strategic enrollment management and retention goals and initiatives.
- Identifies specific student populations, conducts outreach campaigns and supports campus-wide retention initiatives.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Two (2) years of experience in graduate or professional advising or counseling experience with college students or related field
Required License/Certifications/Training:
None
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to relate well to the unique needs of college students with disabilities, including a desire to work one-on-one with these students to help meet their academic needs.
- Ability to work with and understand the needs of faculty.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Computer skills and the ability and willingness to learn and then train others on accessibility software programs.
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret results of various assessments and diagnostic tools used to diagnose different types of disabilities and make recommendations for reasonable accommodations required.
- Demonstrated experience using MS Office and Adobe Acrobat application.
- Knowledge and ability to interpret 504 law and ADA/ADAA compliance.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information. Ability to move or traverse across campus, within buildings and offices, and/or across external environments.
