Ennovar is looking for a student asisstant majoring in accounting or finance to work for Sedgwick County.
Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
Provide financial, clerical, and administrative support to accounting staff.
Assist with preparation of audit PBCs (Prepared By Client documents).
Support Principal Accountants with financial reports, work papers, and journal entries.
Complete special projects as assigned by Finance, Internal Auditors, or county staff.
Maintain accurate financial data and documentation.
Follow established accounting procedures and reporting standards.
Work independently while coordinating with team members as needed.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Additional Requirements
Associate’s degree or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance.
Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools.
Familiarity with financial software and database systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to summarize and present financial data clearly.
Ability to collaborate with coworkers, management, auditors, and regulators.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
