Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8a-5p (Occasional altered scheduled related to recruitment events)

Job Story
As the Recruitment Events Specialist for the Office of Admissions, you’ll oversee our group visit program, host high school students for on-campus experiences, and those held off-campus in regions with regional recruiters. This role emphasizes hosting virtual events and providing excellent customer service. Your day could be comprised of covering the front desk, tours, or customized event planning for visit groups.

Job Summary
Coordinates and facilitates prospective student recruitment, outreach and enrollment services for one (1) or more admissions areas.
Essential Functions
Plans, evaluates, coordinates, and implements processes which assist in the administration of one (1) or more admissions functions. Assists with student recruitment events, activities, and/or initial enrollment services as assigned. Addresses student and/or parent concerns and service needs. May take the lead on projects or provide training to staff, as needed. Provides and/or assists with prompt resolution to initial admissions policy, procedural inquiries or concerns. Researches data and develops activities designed to attain department goals and objectives. May be responsible for oversight of the call center and students that staff the call center.

Organize and coordinate recruitment events, including but not limited to:
- Admitted Student Receptions
- Shocker Honors Scholar Receptions
- Scholarship Information Programs
- Virtual Events, and more
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in education, business or related field
- One (1) year of experience in program coordination, customer service, or related field
Required License/Certifications/Training:
None
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to gain knowledge of all facets of WSU student life and admissions/enrollment processes
- Ability to learn WSU’s information systems and understand the functioning of admissions data
- Creative and original thinker with strong management and organizational skills
- Establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with a team player attitude
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Adobe InDesign, Illustrator &/or Photoshop
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
