Job Story
Are you a detail-oriented student with a strong background in mathematics and/or statistics, and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks? The Mathematics and Statistics department is seeking qualified student paper graders for the spring semester 2025.
Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
This position requires sufficient knowledge in Math 344 and Math 555. Paper graders assist with grading of student course materials. Grading procedures and deadlines are at the discretion of, and supplied by the instructor. Responsibilities include collection of assignments, grading according to guidelines set forth by the instructor, and return of assignments by established deadlines. Applicants should possess a strong background in mathematics and/or statistics, and are expected to exhibit sufficient knowledge required to perform at the course levels for which they are applying. Attention to detail and ability to work independently are a must.
Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.
Additional Requirements
Applicants should possess a strong background in mathematics and/or statistics, and are expected to exhibit sufficient knowledge required to perform at the course levels for which they are applying. Attention to detail and ability to work independently are a must.

Physical Requirements
