Work Schedule: Typically, 8 hour shifts, Monday – Friday. Additional hours, including work on weekends, may be required for business needs. Work is performed onsite and in-person.
Export Compliance Requirement: This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a “U.S. Citizen”.

Job Summary
Manages, plans, and organizes functional area(s) of the machine shop to ensure that goods are produced to standards. Oversees and coordinates the activities and functions that are performed by team. Manages and trains staff, ensuring that employees are following all safety and operating procedures. Assists in strategy and budget preparation for the machine shop.
Essential Functions
Oversees the day to day workflow and activity of staff Works with leadership to monitor respective functional area(s) of the shop and makes recommendations to improve performance that impacts the organization Continually trains shop team members of necessary skill levels to accomplish goals Collaborates and strategizes with leadership team to meet quality and delivery requirements and deadlines Ensure employees are following all safety and operating procedures Performs other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of workflow planning, production scheduling, and quality assurance processes
Understanding of supervisory practices, training methods
Skill in operating and troubleshooting machine shop tools and equipment
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Proficient problem-solving and decision‑making skills in a technical environment
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to meet quality and delivery requirements
Effective communication skills for directing staff and coordinating with leadership
Ability to train, mentor, and develop shop personnel
Ability to enforce safety and operational procedures consistently
Physical Requirements:
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information. Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to use tools, equipment, and technology necessary to do the job. This includes dexterity in instrument manipulation.
