Job Story
In a hangar adjacent to McConnell AFB that once housed Boeing Air Force One modification facilities, the MRO team at NIAR provides production design, initial and Supplemental Type Certification, instrumentation installation, modifications and field support/repair. We are looking for a Coordinator to join our fast-growing team!
Job Summary
The MRO Coordinator assists Operations department in removing barriers to the progress of the assigned work scope.
Assists operations with workforce guidance and first line communication.
Serves as a liaison to support functions including but not isolated to Engineering, Methods, Material Logistics and Quality.
Coordinates meetings for Special topics that require cross-functional inputs. Manages and monitors governance for assigned work scope.
Job Duties
Serves as a subject matter expert in a functional area; educates staff to ensure consistent and equitable application of policies and procedures.
Supports the programs and services provided by the MRO by performing varied or related processes which may include creating and maintaining databases and websites, monitoring, facilitating, and enforcing compliance with established criteria, guidelines and standards, etc.
Problem solves and trouble shoots to resolve issues.
Provides education and/or training to ensure the effectiveness of the program.
Compiles data and reports; provides status updates and reports as needed

Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in a warehouse, maintenance, or aircraft environment
Familiarity with hand tools and basic shop equipment
Forklift certification, or ability and willingness to obtain certification
Environmental Factors
Active aircraft hangar environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
Additional Information
This position requires a valid driver’s license
Must be at least 16 years old

Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
