Job Story
The NIAR Calibration and Quality Lab is looking for a student assistant to help with tasks within the lab.

Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Job Duties
Hands-on experience with test load frames and hydraulic systems, along with many other tasks such as filling out reports and logs, welding and fabricating, troubleshooting and fixing equipment, and designing and engineering testing equipment.

Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Requirements
Basic Excel/Word Knowledge
Occasional lifting of heavy objects

This is an entry-level position and we will train the candidate in all aspects of the job.

Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phones, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
