Job Story
Are you passionate about mathematics and statistics, and have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching? The Mathematics and Statistics Department is seeking qualified lecturers to teach courses in Mathematics and/or Statistics.
Job Summary
The lecturer's responsibilities include developing course material and curricula, inspiring meaningful discussions, attending conferences, consulting with other academics and professionals, supervising graduate students, grading assignments, and being an active member of the university.
Job Duties
This position will teach any assigned courses for a spring or fall semester ranging from College Algebra through Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Introductory Statistics, and/or Elementary Statistics.
Required Education
Dependent upon department requirements.
Additional Requirements
This position requires the following:
• A Master's degree or higher in the Mathematical Sciences or Education in Mathematical Sciences
• 1+ years’ of mathematics and/or statistics instruction at a 4 year or 2 year university or college
• Evidence of successful teaching
• Strong commitment to excellence in teaching.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to diverse populations.
• Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and learning activities, including online and blended learning, flexible teaching methods, and applied learning approaches.

Required Experience
Dependent upon department requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
*Master's degree or higher in Mathematics or Statistics.
*Experience working with course curriculum design and participating in teaching reform.
*Mathematical technology/computer literacy
*Ability to teach via alternative delivery systems.
