Job Summary
Designs, builds, implements, and maintains new software products or enhancements to existing software for third-party customers.
Essential Functions
Designs, develops and implements complex software solutions that align with the business, development, deployment and maintenance needs of the customer. Researches, supports and participates in discussions for implementation decisions for software solutions. Researches, evaluates and prototypes new methodologies, technologies and products and improvements in processes and tools. Works with customers and internal team members to resolve problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Participates in the development of software user manuals.
Job Duties
Support testing by writing pre-testing plans for interfaces.
Responsible for analysis of current interfaces including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting, and code optimization to improve performance.
Maintain and Optimize Online Learning Content Management System and Administrative Software used by T3.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Four (4) years of experience in software development or related field. Every 30 hours of related college coursework can be substituted for one (1) year of experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work within a team of students with varying skills who are part of an applied learning arrangement with the university.
Ability to facilitate technical meetings with stakeholders, manage a robust task list, and submit written reports to satisfy contract requirements.
Ability to provide demonstrations of development progress to the State of Kansas stakeholders, as is required by contract.
Ability to work within multi-layered teams on projects.
Physical Requirements
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
Ability to interpret effectively, accurately and impartially, both receptively and expressively.
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
