Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
Understanding the aspects of professional development and gaining knowledge of related resources
Developing, updating, editing, and producing learning materials
Creating training modules in an online platform
Improving the usability and accessibility of training materials
Delivering classroom and virtual training modules
Preparing classroom learning materials
Assisting with developing and updating content for learning courses
Assisting with production of online learning pathways
Assisting with professional development marketing and communications
Other duties as directed
Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.
Additional Requirements
Availability for 20 hours per week between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday during academic year and summer
Must be proficient with English grammar and writing skills
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office
Required Experience

Preferred Qualifications
Student from various academic HR Management, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, and Information Technology
An interest in learning about professional development and adult learning
Experience using Articulate, Captivate, or other course content creation software
Experience developing creative PowerPoint presentations
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
