Job Summary
Assists with day-to-day operations of one (1) or more human resources functional areas.
Essential Functions
Provides support to staff in various functional areas by assisting with administering, monitoring, and coordinating programs and processes. Provides information and assistance to employees by ensuring effective communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. Collects, compiles, enters, and verifies data for employee records. Reviews and verifies incoming and outgoing documentation for completeness, accuracy and compliance. Assists with the development, planning and implementation of meetings and events which may include scheduling space, room set-up, follow up with customers, and preparing materials, as needed.
Job Duties
Actively engage department(s) regarding the formal hiring processes and practices at the university, ensuring they fall within compliance &/or policy guidelines.
Review of documentation, providing guidance within system operations & university practices.
Carries out the daily operations of core HR functions, supporting the hiring processes and after hire transitions. Examples include: running background checks, form completion, storage of documentation, performing I-9 appointments, audit of employee information, & cross checking of info provided by depts pertinent to university processes.
Ensures confidentiality and compliance with institutional policies and other regulations governing HR. Reviews, collects and validates data from systems, forms, or other sources to ensure accuracy.
Conducting yourself as a professional, ethical, & trustworthy member of HR for the university.
Develops training materials, guides, or reference documents for internal needs or the university at large.
Triages questions and issues, determining when escalation or referral to another HR member is appropriate.
Provide options to stakeholders/depts to operate within, steering them to the appropriate course of action for their needs; OR if not possible, providing them context as to why they cannot proceed.

Additional Information:
Position is FT but will consider applicants available for work between 35-40 hrs a week.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
