Job Story

FirePoint Innovations is seeking a Budget Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with the initiative to work collaboratively with internal and external organization partners. This position will conduct complex, technical financial and quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, revenues, expenses, and billing rates.

Job Summary

Tracks, analyzes, and reconciles budget and/or financial data to support assigned units in meeting their current and future financial obligations and goals.

Essential Functions

Prepares and updates tools, reports, and budget documents to assist with budgetary management. Analyzes budget data to verify reasonableness of projections. Completes data entry and report updates. Submits adjustment and transfer requests; ensures changes are completed timely and accurately . Assists with development of billing rate. Creates and utilizes budget support tools. Includes other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in public administration, accounting, finance, business, economics or related field

Three (3) years of experience in budget, planning, finance, accounting or related field

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to problem solve and think critically
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and active listening skills
Professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment

Physical Requirements

Ability to remain in a stationary position.

Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.

Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
