This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a “U.S. Citizen”.

Job Story
The NIAR ATLAS lab is looking for a front desk receptionist.

Job Duties
• Greet and welcome visitors to the facility in a warm and professional manner.
• Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages and providing information as needed.
• Manage and coordinate schedules for meetings, appointments, and facility tours.
• Monitor and maintain visitor logs and security protocols, ensuring all guests are properly signed in.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and preparing documents as needed.
• Assist in managing material and equipment orders for the facility
• Support management with day-to-day operations and provide administrative assistance to various teams.
• Assist with basic inquiries about the facility, research programs, and services offered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office equipment (phones and printers).
  • Professional communication and demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information
