Job Story
Wichita State Softball the 2026, American Conference champs, are seeking a full-time Pitching Coach responsible for leading the development and performance of the pitching staff. You should elevate our pitching staff through a blend of technical expertise, data-driven insight, and individualized athlete development.
You’ll lead the development and performance of our pitching, designing training plans that balance mechanics, mental preparation, and in-game execution. Your approach is intentional, you don’t believe in one-size-fits-all coaching. Instead, you tailor development to each athlete, helping them unlock their strengths and compete at their highest level.
Priorities for success:
Stay active in the recruiting landscape, building and managing pipelines through modern recruiting platforms and communication tools.
Use performance technology and analytics tools (643 charts or Trumedia) to inform training and game strategy
Demonstrated knowledge of Rapsodo or Trackman technology
Understanding of Whistle recruiting communication app to keep you organize while recruiting our student athletes

Job Summary
Assists the head coach with daily activities of assigned sports program, which may include recruiting, training, coaching, scheduling, academics, retention, program development and fundraising.
Essential Functions
Coaches and oversees one (1) or more functional aspects of team administrative management and/or programs. Assists with academics and retention of student athletes, ensuring adherence to University standards. Interacts with donors and assists with fundraising and booster club activities. Communicates with media relations. Monitors student performance and maintains student athlete records. Manages financial transactions for recruiting visits. Monitors budgets related to assigned programs and recruiting visit expenditures. Reconciles monthly statements and billings, and provides team financial reports.
Job Duties
· Oversee all aspects of pitcher development and training
· Manage the bullpen and in-game pitching strategy
· Utilize technology and data to enhance performance and development
· Assist with recruiting, including evaluation and relationship-building
· Support student-athlete growth on and off the field
· Assist with camps, clinics, and daily program operations

Valid Kansas drivers license
