The Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs at Wichita State University represents an institution that prides itself on applied learning: the blending of theory and practice to aid students in understanding real world problems and working collaboratively to find solutions to the challenges associated with public sector governance. Our graduates represent most of the leaders in city and county government in the greater Wichita region and throughout large portions of Kansas and the surrounding areas. The Hugo Wall School is the only academic unit at Wichita State dedicated to collaborative applied learning and applied research that involves local government.
Hugo Wall faculty, students, and alumni are committed to growing a public affairs program that advances the principles of collaboration, transparency, responsibility, responsiveness, representativeness, and above all an understanding for grounding public administration scholarship and practice in the rule of law and democratic-constitutional norms and values.
To this effort, we are accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure-track, assistant professor position in the area of public administration and/or nonprofit management.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will have many opportunities to leverage exceptional collaborative relationships with the City of Wichita, Sedgwick County, and many other units of local government in this geographic vicinity.
