Job Story
Our lab is seeking self-motivated students with strong problem-solving skills to support research on robotic additive manufacturing and gain applied learning experience. This position is non-benefit eligible, regardless of student level.

Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Job Duties
Support research on robotic additive manufacturing
Enroll in the applied learning zero-credit course
Undergraduate students: Enroll in 481i (CRN 10276 for engineering students)
Graduate students: Enroll in 781i (CRN10277 for engineering students)
Complete the applied learning course requirements in Blackboard

Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.

Additional Requirements
• Must be eligible for applied learning

• Minimum GPA of 2.75
• Availability to work 10 hours per week
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and initiative
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Willingness to learn and practice

Required Experience
This is specific to each position and department. See additional requirements and preferences.

 

Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
