Job Story

If you love meeting new people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy making a lasting impression, this role is made for you! This position is all about showcasing the best of our campus and university, ensuring every prospective student and their family walks away feeling excited about their future here. You’ll oversee the daily logistics of our campus visit program, coordinating student tour guides, scheduling academic appointments, and keeping everything running smoothly for the hundreds of visitors we welcome each year. From the initial outreach before their visit to following up afterward, you'll be the go-to person in creating a seamless and engaging experience. Plus, you'll have a hand in hiring and training our student tour guides, keeping tour scripts fresh and engaging, and tracking key visit data to help us continuously improve. And of course, when needed, you’ll jump in to cover admissions fairs, answer calls, and assist wherever needed to keep things moving.

Success in this role is all about energy, organization, and connection. You need to be highly responsive, a great communicator, and comfortable with public speaking—whether leading a presentation for a group of students or chatting one-on-one with a family. Attention to detail is key, ensuring every visit is well-planned and runs smoothly. This is a highly customer-service-driven role, so bringing enthusiasm and a warm, welcoming presence is a must! You'll need to be able to read the room, provide an appropriate level of energy to address inquiries, and make every interaction a memorable one. Ideally, you’re a proud WSU grad or someone eager to learn what makes us special so you can authentically share that passion with prospective students. If you’re ready to help shape the future of Shocker Nation by giving visitors an experience they won’t forget, we’d love to have you on our team!
