Job Story

At WSU, our international students bring the world to campus—and we need someone who can meet them with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
This isn’t just paperwork. It’s the bridge between a student’s dream of studying in the U.S. and the reality of joining our community. Every decision you make—from credential evaluations to I-20 issuance—impacts real people’s lives and futures. We’re looking for someone who can navigate both government regulations and human interactions with equal skill. You’ll be the steady hand guiding students through a complex process, while also empowering them to navigate resources on their own.

This is a role for someone who finds meaning in details, thrives in making fair but firm decisions, and values helping international students start their journey with confidence. If you have strong attention to detail, like working in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy helping others, read on.

  • Decisive & Confident — Make consistent decisions about degree criteria based on guides and regulations and know the right next step.
  • Detail-Obsessed — Government forms and shifting processes don’t overwhelm you—you track changes, remember nuances, and never lose your place.
  • Patient with ESL Learners — You can “read between the lines” of a question and answer what a student truly means to ask or needs to know for success.
  • Process-Oriented but Flexible — You can segment tasks, handle interruptions, and pick up right where you left off.
  • Comfortable Being the Face of WSU — Whether on camera, via email, or one-on-one, you represent the university with professionalism and warmth.
