Must be able to work evening hours. Depends on class schedules. Office hours are 7am-10pm depending on classes in the building.

Job Story
Student assistant will assist students and staff by providing support in operation of the Old Town Administrative Offices. You will serve as the first point of contact for the Old Town Campus by welcoming visitors and providing courteous, professional customer service. Shifts may vary based on building needs and students' schedule. May include evening work schedule.
Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
Answer and direct phone calls, assisting with parking, respond to general inquiries, and assist with front desk coverage.
Provide general support to students and staff, including the satellite administrative team.
Serves as a resource for troubleshooting technology systems issues.
Monitor and maintain office supplies and inventory.
General office support: including office projects, copying, assistance with building tours, light cleaning and stocking, and other projects as needed by staff.
Contribute to a positive, welcoming office environment and provide excellent service to students, families, faculty, and staff.
Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.
Additional Requirements
Must be eligible for Federal Work Study program. Must have dependable transportation as position is not on main campus. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
