Export Compliance Requirement

Job Story
The NIAR ETL is looking for a student assistant to help with testing aircraft components.
Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
Assist test engineers with industry standards aircraft component certification testing, Operate, maintain, and repair test equipment, prepare test setups, and test fixturing, maintain lab organization.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Additional Requirements
Must be a motivated, detail-oriented, and hands-on person willing to continuously learn and improve their skills.
Preferred Qualifications
CAD experience
Machining and/or experience with tools and soldering
Knowledge of standard test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators/analyzers, data acquisition systems)
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment, including but not limited to phones, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
