Job Story
The NIAR ATLAS lab is seeking a student assistant to assist with program management.
Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
Coordination with all production labs to generate work orders. Purchasing of all production materials from approved suppliers. Oversight of the execution of the program plan. Assist in coordinating with third-party suppliers. Assist in the conduct of the final review and buy-off of parts prior to shipping to customers.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Job Requirements
Knowledge of various manufacturing technologies
Ability to coordinate and communicate with internal labs.
Experience with Microsoft products.
Experience with Catia V5 and 3DE.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment, including but not limited to phones, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
