Job Story
We are seeking a motivated student for a position with a focus on supporting marketing activities.
Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
Duties will include:
- Backend & Website Support: Assist with updating website content, maintaining site functionality, and supporting backend tasks as needed.
- Social Media Support: Help plan, draft, and schedule posts; monitor engagement; and contribute to social media strategy across platforms.
- Photography & Videography: Capture photos and short-form video content for marketing, events, and promotional use; support basic editing and organization of media assets.
- CRM Management: Help maintain and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system, including data entry, contact organization, and tracking engagement activities.
Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.
Required Experience
This is specific to each position and department. See additional requirements and preferences.
Preferred Qualifications
General knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
