Pay: $ 52,932.00 with potential adjustment based on experience

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5 (Some evening and weekend hours);work is performed on-site and in person.

Job Story

Our Manager of Strategic Enrollment Partnerships position will oversee the daily operations of assigned admissions functions, ensuring services align with the University's strategic vision and enrollment goals. In this role, you will work closely with WSU Tech officials and their students to facilitate the transfer admission process. Additionally, you’ll work directly with designated external scholarship organizations to help their scholarship recipients consider Wichita State for their college search. Finally, you’ll work closely with the Associate Vice Provost on designated special projects that involve recruitment, events and outreach. You'll build strong relationships with internal and external partners, host students on the Wichita State campus and create meaningful connections that support student success.

As a key liaison among admissions staff, prospective and current students, community stakeholders, and external scholarship partners, you will provide expert guidance on university programs, admissions requirements, policies, procedures, costs, and recruitment initiatives. You'll coordinate recruitment and support activities for designated scholarship programs, helping students navigate their educational pathways and enrollment options.

You will lead and develop staff through work allocation, training, coaching, performance management, and continuous improvement efforts to promote operational excellence and exceptional customer service. As our Manager of Strategic Enrollment Partnerships, you will also ensure the integrity of admissions data through effective tracking, reporting, and process oversight, supporting informed decision-making and compliance requirements.

Additionally, this role contributes to the planning and execution of recruitment events, student engagement activities, and campus visit experiences. You'll support leadership with special projects and strategic initiatives while maintaining strong communication with students, scholarship partners, and the campus community. For Graduate School operations, the position serves as the Designated School Official (DSO), overseeing the preparation and issuance of immigration documents and ensuring compliance with federal regulations governing international students.

Job Summary

Manages the day-to-day operational activities of one (1) or more functional areas of admissions. May assist in strategic planning of recruitment strategies and priorities.

Essential Functions

Manages the daily service delivery of one (1) or more functional admissions areas. Aligns service quality with overall University strategic goals and vision. Acts as liaison to admissions staff, students, and community. Knowledgeable in all facets of University programs, philosophies, activities, costs and fees, policies and procedures related to student recruitment and admissions. Oversees staff including work allocation, training, promotion and enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution. Evaluates performance and makes recommendations for staff actions. Motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance. May assist with the development of annual operating budgets and fiscal direction of the department. Oversees the accuracy of data tracking, management and reporting for functional area as needed. For the Graduate School, serves as Designated School Official in the creation of immigration documents for admitted students.

Job Duties

Manages daily operations and service delivery for assigned admissions functions, ensuring alignment with University goals and standards.
Serves as a resource and liaison for staff, students, and community members regarding admissions and recruitment processes.
Supervises staff, including work assignments, training, performance management, and process improvement.
Assists with departmental budget planning and fiscal management.
Ensures accurate admissions data tracking, reporting, and records management.
Serves as Designated School Official (DSO) for international student immigration documentation and compliance (Graduate School).

Required Education and Experience:

  • 60 hours of college coursework in education, or business
  • Five (5) years of experience in recruiting, registrar, financial aid, records, admissions in higher education or related field, with one (1) year of experience in a supervisory role. An additional 60 hours of college coursework can be substituted for two (2) years of experience.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
