Job Story
The Molecular Diagnostic Lab is looking for a student to assist with manufacturing quality.

Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Job Duties
- Support manufacturing processes through an on the floor presence for line clearances,
resolution of issues, or elevation.
- Perform post-production audits of the manufacturing process.
- Perform visual inspection acceptable quality level of product.
- Properly document findings during audits.
- Assist in answering questions regarding potential discrepancies of defects.
- Author and update standard operating procedures (“SOPs”), as needed.
- Follow cGMP guidelines and adhere to SOPs and GMP requirements.
- Communicate quality issues to employees and managers in a tactful manner.
- Work on multiple projects at once with changing deadlines and priorities.

Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Requirements
- Possess experience working in a regulated environment (GMP).
- Be able to handle multi-task activities to support production schedule.
- Have 20/20 vision, correctable with glasses/contacts.
- Be able to visually inspect product.
- Be able to be garb-qualified and maintain such qualification.
- Be detail oriented.
- Be able to get along with a variety of different personalities.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, which align with Good
Distribution Practice.
- Be able to write and review technical reports.
- Be trained and able to properly gown for work in an ISO 8 certified cleanroom environment.
- Be able to maintain ISO 8 qualification on a routine basis.

Preferred Qualifications
Students on the following degree paths (or related): Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing), Supply Chain Management.

Additional Information
This position is located at Fagron Sterile Services. Applicant must be able to work in an off-campus position and work 2nd or 3rd shift hours.

Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
