Pay: Salary range begins at $40,000/yr

Work Schedule: M-F, Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, & holidays.

Job Story

Wichita State Athletics is hiring an individual to assist with managing the day-to-day ticket office operations for multiple University and non-university events including ticket sales, customer relations, and revenue generation. Maintains and prepares reports for internal and external audits. Assists with managing ticket office staff. Will be a critical part of the revenue generation team.

Job Summary

Assists with managing the day-to-day ticket office operations for multiple University and non-university events including sales and customer relations. Maintains and prepares reports for internal and external audits.

Essential Functions

• Oversees and assists with the daily ticket operations of multiple University and non-university events including, but not limited to, supervising assigned staff and student employees.
• Assists in planning and implementing processes and procedures for ticket sales processing, renewals, and distribution, including related projects and assignments as needed.
• Establishes and oversees staff adherence to procedures for securing and processing ticket sales. Ensures compliance with all applicable University, association, and governmental rules and regulations.
• Serves as contact person for communication with the ticketing vendor(s), responding to inquiries concerning games and events, and identifying and resolving complex problems and customer complaints.
• Monitors assigned program budget(s) and adjusts plan(s) as resource requirements change.

Required Education and Experience:

  • 60 hours of college coursework in business administration, education, or applied science.
  • Three (3) years of experience in general office, clerical, administrative support or related field. Every 30 hours of college coursework beyond the minimum, can be substituted for one (1) year of experience, up to an additional 60 hours.

Required License/Certifications/Training:

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High level customer service, problem solving skills, and strong communication skills.
    Ability to handle difficult conversations and situations when necessary.
    Ability to work with fluctuating schedule including nights and weekends.
    PCI Compliance familiarity
    Previous experience using Paciolan or equivalent ticketing software.
    Skills in collaboration with various constituents.
    Ability to stay in one position for long periods of time.
    Ability to produce & analyze financial reports.
    Highly organized and reliable with great follow up and follow through.
