Housing & Residence Life is seeking a team focused and supportive supervisor to lead the department's Business Operations unit. This staff member will oversee a team 10 full-time staff members and 40 student staff members. This area involves a wide variety of functions including Accounting, HR, desk operations, marketing, occupancy, billing, and travel. The successful candidate will have a strong comfort with technology and experience supporting a large and diverse team. The focus of this position is supervision and communication with campus partners.
Job Summary
Leads and manages the administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting for a division, college or large department.
Essential Functions
Manages financial and fiscal operations, to include the development and administration of capital and/or operating budgets and expenditures, and the establishment and management of financial control systems. Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, objectives and short and long-range strategic planning. Coordinates the preparation of financial reports, special analyses and information requests; may present recommendations for programmatic and fiscal changes. Leads division, college or department budget and/or administrative operations training, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations. May supervise the work of others.
