Job Story
This position will work with various college and career centers at local high schools to assist students with the college search process. The goal of the coach position is to help high school students feel informed about their future decisions, wherever that next step might be.

Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Job Duties
Carry out administrative and technical tasks related to college readiness. Conduct office hours at local high schools to assist students on their college search. Gain knowledge related to college readiness, topics such as applications, scholarships, FAFSA, and additional opportunities available in higher education.

Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.

Additional Requirements
Student must be a domestic undergrad studying at least one of the following eligible programs: Psychology, Social Work, Organizational Leadership, Communication (various emphases considered), or Education (various emphases considered).

This is specific to each position and department. See additional requirements and/or preferences.

Preferred Qualifications
Strong management and organizational skills
Excellent customer service, written and verbal skills
Team player and welcoming attitude

Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
