Job Story
Why this is a career starter for you!
Every day you’ll have the chance to shape how our business runs, connect with people who have a passion for helping others, and be part of a team that feels a little like the elite “special ops” — everyone has a role, but the mission succeeds because of how well we work together to make things run. If you’re ready to bring your organizational superpowers, your hospitality-first mindset, and a little Beyoncé-level “run the world” energy, this is your chance to shine.
You should be able to thrive in fast-paced environments where the days have a lot of variety but the content will be very similar. Are you the kind of person who can keep schedules, meetings, and full travel plans on track while being the warm, welcoming face of an office? If so, you could be the “glue” that holds our team together. This isn’t just a desk job — it’s a role where you’ll be the hub of organization, the go-to for coordination, and the first impression that sets the tone for every guest who walks through our doors.
We seek:
- Detail-obsessed and organized — nothing slips past you
- Adaptable, quick on your feet, and thrive in a fast-paced rhythm (think “Ted Lasso” level positivity meets “Mission: Impossible” multitasking)
- Confident and hospitable — you make guests and teammates feel at ease (because you've got it covered)
- A true team player who knows they’re working for the whole squad, not just one boss
- Proactive — you “take the ball and run with it”, learning the sub-team's rhythms. Anticipating needs and providing updates or response to requests based on how they operate
The Public Policy and Management Center (PPMC) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that works with the public and private sectors to conduct research, evaluation, training, and community development. This position, specifically, will be supporting the PPMC team to ensure smooth operations, both internally and externally.
