Job Story

Do you like a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks to accomplish? Are you a problem solver who is highly organized, detail oriented, adept at managing multiple priorities and skilled at improving processes?  University Libraries has openings for two Resource Lending Specialists to cover afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

The Resource Lending Specialist is part of Access Services, the forward-facing unit of the WSU Libraries responsible for connecting our campus community to information resources that support intellectual discovery, scholarship, creative activity, and innovation.

Resource Lending Specialists help ensure that borrowers – who can be individuals or other libraries– receive what is requested efficiently and cost effectively, all while helping fulfill these requests on a busy service desk at the WSU Libraries. This role will navigate multiple Library software systems to maintain accurate records, troubleshoot typical issues with printers and scanners, and work with Microsoft Office products and cloud-based office software. When issues arise with requested Library materials, Resource Lending Specialists identify the source of the issue and suggest potential solutions.
