Minimum Education
  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely-related engineering field by time of appointment.
Minimum Experience
  • Notable record of journal publications and scholarly activities.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Candidate should have demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Expertise in the area of robotics and control.
  • Evidence of potential to attract external funding and conduct research.
  • Ability to supervise graduate students.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Evidence of effective teaching potential.
  • Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and learning activities, including online and blended learning, flexible teaching methods, and applied learning approaches.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred Education
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
Preferred Experience
  • Research experience in robotics, prosthetics, sensors, cancer and heart failure detection systems, or distance health monitoring.
  • Industry experience will be seen as a plus.
