Summary of Responsibilities
  • Effective teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses.

Minimum Education
  • An earned PhD or other terminal degree in a related field.
Minimum Experience
  • Notable record of journal publications and scholarly activity.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Candidate should have demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Expertise in the area of advanced manufacturing, such as industrial IoT/cyber physical systems, dynamics and control of robots and automation systems, micro/nano fabrication, metals-based additive manufacturing, high temperature materials/coatings.
  • Evidence of potential to attract external funding and conduct research.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Evidence of effective teaching potential.
  • Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and learning activities, including online and blended learning, flexible teaching methods, and applied learning approaches.

Position Description Information

Preferred Education
  • At least one degree from an institution with ABET accredited programs.
Preferred Experience
  • Evidence of effective teaching, industrial experience in their research area, research background in aviation manufacturing, experience in commercialization research, laboratory development experience, and experience promoting experiential learning.
