Summary of Responsibilities
  • Develop and teach cybersecurity courses.
  • Support laboratory development and experiential activities.
  • Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Provide program development and accreditation /assessment leadership.
  • Participate in recruitment and service activities.
Minimum Education
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
Minimum Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to teach cybersecurity courses including but not limited to cyber operations, cyber physical systems, cyber risk management, digital forensics, and secure web development.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary faculty members.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Candidate should have demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Appropriate background and experience consistent with the Engineering Educator/Instructor level.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of curricula, software, and tools specific to the cybersecurity discipline.
  • Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and learning activities, including online and blended learning, flexible teaching methods, and applied learning approaches.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

  • Industry experience in cybersecurity.
  • 3+ years of teaching/training experience.
  • Experience advising undergraduate computer science, engineering and engineering technology students.
  • Experience with students’ recruitment and outreach activities.
  • Understanding and ability to support a center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense.

Normal university teaching and professional service responsibilities. May need to walk across campus to teach in different buildings or to attend meetings/events in all types of weather.
