Job Story
NIAR High Temperature Composites and Advanced Materials Group is looking for a student assistant.

Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Job Duties
Perform various tasks to support research and testing within the NIAR High Temperature Composites and Advanced Materials Group. Primary functions will include the following:
• Reduce and review standard/non-standard material mechanical test data.
• Report data according to test plan and document test discrepancies.

Most of the work will be on the computer and the other will require working with test engineers and program managers. This is an entry-level position that can accommodate a student’s class schedule.

Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent

Requirements
Fundamental computer skills
Undergraduate or post-graduate pursuing an engineering or computer science degree

Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/VBA

This position is located in Park City, KS and requires reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
