Job Story
The NIAR ATLAS lab is seeking a student assistant to support facility needs.

Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Job Duties
• Unloading pallets from delivery trucks
• Assist with setting up and tearing down for events and meetings.
• Maintaining the tool crib
• Assistance with maintaining lab cleanliness
• Floating between cells during any downtime to assist with cell projects
• Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and preparing documents as needed.
• Maintain inventory of facility supplies and tools, ensuring availability and proper storage.
• Maintain logs of equipment usage.
• Assist in managing material and equipment orders for the facility
• Support management with day-to-day operations and provide administrative assistance to various teams.

Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
• Reliable transportation
• Minimum of 15 hrs per week
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with staff.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, perform manual labor, and work in various environments (indoor and outdoor).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment, including but not limited to phones, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
