Job Story
MCJI’s key role is to supply training, technical assistance to law enforcement, program evaluation, outcome assessment on criminal justice issues, and strategic crime reduction consulting throughout the State of Kansas, the Midwest Region, and the United States.
Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
Complete assigned duties as requested, with attention to deadline requests and priority
assignments.
Front Office Assistance including answering phones, greeting visitors, and ordering office supplies.
Creates engaging content for social media platforms and website. Updates and maintains the department website with new content, events and information.
Provide training, event and meeting support by assisting with planning and execution, including registration, promotion, on-site logistics, and assisting with surveys/evaluations.
Team projects, special projects, and WSU Strategic Initiatives staff support (as assigned & capacity permits).
General copying and filing, as requested.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Requirements
Attention to detail and deadlines.
Ability to prioritize
Positive demeanor
Proficient with MS Office.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
Ability to travel to events off-campus as needed.
