Kansas Kids @ GEAR UP is a state-wide program serving students in foster care, grades 7-12 and first year in college. Create digital content for newsletters, maintain the website, post to social media platforms where & when appropriate to the users of these various arenas. Keep our partners, families, kiddos & regulatory parties informed of our events, workshops & other pertinent information. Handle the information output for all our regions so we have a uniform & consistent messaging but still captivating & informative. Job Summary
Provides outreach to prospective or current students, faculty and staff, and/or external partners. Collaborates with others on the creation and design of printed and digital materials.
Essential Functions
Engages with on and off-campus customers and related departments. Enhances customer base and strengthens the unit and/or University's image. Coordinates the development and implementation of promotional projects, events, and/or presentations. Collaborates with stakeholders on the design and layout and prepares visually appealing branding elements and finished products for use in print and digital mediums while maintaining the University brand and image. Develops written and digital marketing materials for recruitment and/or department program use.
Job Duties
Designs and implements a marketing strategy for the Kansas Kids @ GEAR UP federally funded grant. Includes maintaining a website, designing posters and brochures, assisting with grant reports and promoting the program on social media. Also designs manuals for staff.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
Additional Physical Requirement:
Ability to drive 7 to 15 passenger van safely & travel distances regularly.
Must be able to escort students on campus visits - which may include lots of walking.
Must be able to attend community and school presentations.
Overnight travel occasionally to trainings and conferences may be required.
