Job Story
Graduate students working in the CAD/CAM & Digital Twin labs will learn to utilize Model Based Systems Engineering and Electrical CAD tools to support various projects. In addition, they may be required to learn other software products and hardware. They will support a variety of projects and programs for the lab. Their tasks may range from classroom support and project research to direct industry program support. Students will be expected to assist lab staff in any way possible to help make the lab successful, presentable to customers, and accomplish projects in a timely manner. Projects will involve extensive use of Dassault Systems MBSE and Electrical CAD software. Students must have their own transportation as some local travel between facilities may be required.
Job Summary
The primary function of a graduate assistant (GA) is to assist in basic scientific research using laboratory facilities, computer programming or operation, data collection, correlation and preliminary interpretation of data, statistical analysis of data and writing preliminary reports, bibliographical work, or assisting musicians or artists in their creative endeavors.
Job Duties
· Assisting staff with the development of training materials
· Model components from various data sources
· Assist staff with research project development
· Assisting staff on industry level support
· Operate and help maintain tools and equipment
· Help keep a clean and safe work environment
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree
Additional Requirements
· Proficiency in Dassault Systems MBSE tools (e.g., CATIA Magic, Cameo Systems Modeler)
· Proficiency in Dassault Systems Electrical CAD software (e.g., CATIA Electrical, ENOVIA)
· Effectively prioritize and manage workflow
· Ability to work independently on extensive tasks
Preferred Qualifications
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and bills of material systems.
· Have great attention to detail
· Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs
· Ability to work with complex systems
· Able to work 20 hours each week.
